Lately I've been watching loads of behind the scenes making-of docs in my DVD collection, and the more I watch the more I get hyped to go out, buy a bunch of materials and lock myself inside for a month building movie props. My creative output in this department has dwindled since uni in favour of focusing on camera/grip/lighting work, but my mind always gravitates back to props and production design. It's too late to change my course, and I wouldn't want to, but a masters degree in props/special FX is appearing more seriously on the cards afterward.
In the meantime, epic ambitious film planning in progress, shooting in 3 weeks so I'm running around ensuring everything will run smoothly on the day, and stocking up on grip equipment and accessories, as this is another route I wouldn't mind taking with my career.
Onwards and upwards.
